What is Intelliscale?
Intelliscale is a way to describe a percent of reading uncertainty statement in an easily understood, abbreviated way.
An intelliscale sensor can be in a pressure controller, calibrator, digital pressure gauge or a stand alone transducer.
Intelliscale is a percent of reading uncertainty statement.
What is:
0.01%intelliscale-50 (0.01%IS-50)?
The “0.01%” denotes that the uncertainty is 0.01% of reading, the “-50” denotes that, percent of reading applies to the portion of the range above 50% of full scale. Below 50% of full scale the uncertainty is 0.005% of full scale (50% x 0.01%). 0.01%IS-50 is graphically illustrated (for a 0-100 psi transducer) in the figure below.
Intelliscale in the CPC 6000 Automated Pressure Calibrator
0.01%Intelliscale-50 (0.01%IS-50) provides 0.01% of reading uncertainty from 50% to 100% of the full scale value of the sensor and an uncertainty of 0.005% of full scale from 0% to 50% of the full scale value of the sensor. The 0.01%IS-50 specification has a recommended 365 day calibration interval. Uncertainties for these ranges are denoted below as Type "IS"
Ranges with uncertanties denoted below as Type "TD" can have two turndown ranges on the transducer. Each range has 0.01%FS uncertainty. The second turndown range span cannot be less than 50% of the primary turndown range span. The 0.01%FS specification has a 180 or 365 day recommended calibration interval depending on the range.
Note on CPC 6000 Calibrator and Intelliscale: The CPC 6000 software upgrade installer is used to upgrade a CPC 6000's software to the latest version. Intelliscale sensors will work in CPC 6000's with software version 1.25 and higher. A software upgrade is necessary when installing Intelliscale sensors in a CPC 6000 with software version 1.24 and below.
Software instillation instructions are included in the CPC 6000 software installer package; the instruction file is named "installer.doc".
Uncertainties are shown in the table below and include all pressure effects, temperature effects and calibration stability after re-zeroing.

Intelliscale in the CPT 6180 Digital Pressure Transducer
In the CPT 6180 0.01%Intelliscale-50 (0.01%IS-50) provides 0.01% of reading uncertainty from 50% to 100% of the full scale value of the sensor and an uncertainty of 0.005% of full scale from 0% to 50% of the full scale value of the sensor. The 0.01%IS-50 specification has a recommended 365 day calibration interval. Ranges in the 6180 are limited to absolute and gauge modes only and to full scale pressures above 15 psi. For bidirectional ranges and full scale pressures below 15 psi the Model 6100 Digital Pressure Transducer can be used with an uncertainty of 0.01% of full span. Uncertainties and ranges for the 6180 are listed below:
