Absolute Pressure Calibration

The Mensor Calibration Laboratory is fully equiped with state of the art calibration standards capable of performing absolute pressure calibrations.

  • Pneumatic Pressure Media: absolute pressure calibration for any full scale pressures up to 6000 psia
  • Hydraulic Pressure Media: absolute pressure calibration for any full scale pressures up to 30,000 psia

Mensor's Lab is accredited to ISO 17025 by A2LA.

Absolute pressure is zero-referenced against a perfect vacuum. This means that the lowest reading an absolute pressure instrument can reach is zero (there are no negative absolute pressures). However, zero absolute pressure is virtually impossible to achieve. This and other complexities involved with zeroing absolute transducers are explained in the white paper: "Everything You Wanted to Know About Setting Zero on an Absolute Pressure Transducer but Were Afraid to Ask"
