PCS400 Pressure Calibration System
Application:
Calibration of pressure sensors on torpedoes.
Challenge:
Customer wanted an automated way to calibrate pressure sensors used as depth gauges on torpedoes. The torpedo can be programmed to detonate only between specific depths. If a target is found and subsequently lost the programming remembers the depth that it first saw the target and searched at or close to that depth. The accuracy of the sensor in the torpedo is classified information.

Solution:
Mensor supplied a PCS400 with a range of 0-750 psig (~1680 feet of seawater) and an accuracy of 0.01% full scale. The customer can calibrate the torpedo sensors using the sequence function or manually from the front keypad. Units of calibration can be psi or feet of seawater.
