Model CPB 5000 Masses
Masses
Masses are manufactured from non-magnetic Series 303 stainless steel for long term stability and durability. Each mass is engraved with a unique identifying sequence number and serial number for the set. A bell mass (sleeve weight) design lowers the center of gravity, improving stability. For generating very low pressures an aluminum plate allows smaller masses to be applied directly to the top of the piston without the bell mass, broadening the pressure range coverage. Masses are calibrated to standard gravity (9.80665 m/s2) although for fixed location usage, Mensor can trim each mass to a customer specified local gravity at no additional charge.
For maximum flexibility and economics, a single mass set can support up to three ConTect Systems. The vacuum range for the pneumatic DWT requires a dedicated mass set while the 500 psi pneumatic range is available with a low cost mass set.
Mass Sets are provided with wooden storage cases to protect them from dust. Pictured above is the standard mass set. The 1500 psi pneumatic, and 15,000 psi hydraulic ranges utilize an extended mass set which adds a third case.
