Calibration Unit
Deadweight Testers are proven precision measuring instruments. Their principal of operation guarantees a high level of performance and long term stability. However, in order to achieve the ultimate performance capability, corresponding environmental influences must be accounted for such as gravity and piston/cylinder temperature in addition to ambient conditions such as barometric pressure, temperature and relative humidity.
The optional CPU 5000 Calibrator Unit monitors these influences and automatically applies the appropriate corrections. The operator simply enters the desired pressure and the CPU 5000 responds with the required mass load taking into account all local conditions. The CPU 5000 also monitors piston float position to assist with determining the proper time to take the reading from the device under test. Therefore, the ultimate performance of the CPB 5000 is realized and operation is greatly simplified.
Additionally, the CPU 5000 can be supplied with a Transmitter Extension which supplies power the DUT as well as measuring and displaying the output signal in electrical or pressure units, providing a complete transmitter/sensor calibration system.
