PLC Electrician


Responsible for all the electrical equipment at WIKA, concerning both machines and electrical cables in the building (lighting, etc.)

  • 10%     Designs electrical equipment, component, and systems for industrial purposes
  • 25%     Develops application of controls and systems for new industrial uses.
  • 25%     Verifies activities to ensure that manufacturing, installation and operation of equipment will conform to the functional specification.
  • 5%      Install electrical equipment
  • 5%      Maintain electrical equipment
  • 30%     Program and trouble shoot PLC programs


  • 5 years PLC programing experience required
  • Siemens Simatic Steep 7(200/300/1200 series PLC’s) with HMI controls and Allen Bradley programming experience is a plus.
  • Ability to take on a lead role for short term projects and see through to completion with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Codes
  • 5 years Industrial electrical work required, i.e. motors and controls
  • Certified electrician preferred
  • Experience using various electrical test equipment e.g. multimeter, oscilloscope, ampere probe etc. etc.
  • Understanding of European electrical schematics and setup is a plus.
