Project Sales Engineer - Level Division

Job description

  • Be responsible for quoting our high value project work accurately and professionally within an agreed time frame with the customer.

  • Respond in a professional and technically competent manner to customer enquiries within the time frame expected by the enquirer and in accordance to the WIKA Sales Charter. The main objective is, of course, winning the order.

  • Provide professional and responsive query resolution and outstanding customer service.

  • Work with the Area Sales Managers to retain all current business and win new business.

  • Take ownership of the complete sales process from enquiry through to payment, which will involve co-ordinating activity with colleagues and other departments where necessary. Work with Sales Administration to ensure orders are processed correctly, within the agreed time frame and in accordance with the Company’s procedures, WIKA Sales Charter and work instructions.

  • Ensure Enquiry to Quote Turnaround Time is according to Area, Division & Company Dashboard targets.

  • Ensure robust quotation follow-ups are carried out according to Area, Division & Company Dashboard targets and log details of the follow-ups in the Activity fields within Axapta.

  • Focus on maximising gross margins through communication with the Area Sales Managers and the Sales Office team.

  • Investigate customer claims, complaints and facilitate satisfactory resolution.

  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement process, including Kaizen activities & commitment to the WIKA Sales Charter.

  • Keep clear records of activities and calls using the Document Handling; CRM and Activities within Axapta or alternatively within the departments shared folder.

  • Work with the General Manager to develop the companies AVL requirements.

  • Work with the Internal Sales Manager on other projects and assignments where appropriate.

Requested Profile

  • Must have a degree level qualification in an engineering discipline.
  • Good competent knowledge of all Microsoft Office programmes.

  • Must have a pro-active, can-do attitude.

  • Must be able to offer a good degree of flexibility where workload permits.

  • Literate with effective communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to communicate confidently with both external and internal customers and suppliers.

  • Must be organised and skilled in time management.

  • Must be enthusiastic and self-motivated.

  • Must be able to effectively prioritise and manage workloads.

Reporting to the Sales Office Manager - Level Division

The Project Sales Engineer is primarily responsible for providing professional and competent support and service, to existing and prospective Level Division customers. The Project Sales Engineer is expected to build positive relationships both internally and externally and be responsible for the efficient, effective, handling of the entire quotation, and technical support process so they meet customer expectations and are in accordance with the WIKA Sales Charter & other Company procedures. 

The Project Sales Engineer will be proactive in developing all communication channels to win orders, promote the complete WIKA capability and obtain market and competitor information & to assist the Level Division as a whole.
