Reasons to Choose a Pressure Controlling Calibrator.

Mensor precision pressure calibrators provide an automated and accurate way to measure and control pressure. These calibrators are sometimes referred to as precision pressure controllers.  The pressure output from a Mensor calibrator is usually connected to a lower accuracy pressure device. This "device under test" (DUT) is then tested or calibrated to verify it's pressure reading accuracy. The DUT can then be adjusted to agree with the more accurate Mensor calibrator.

Mensor Specializes in precise and accurate pressure devices.  Precision and accuracy in the pressure calibration industry are associated with devices that are used as pressure standards.  Pressure standards provide a pressure reference that is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Mensor Precision Pressure Calibrators are used in pressure calibration labs or in production environments where automation and efficiency is needed.  Mensor Precision Pressure Calibrators make pressure calibration and production testing more efficient by allowing automation of the process; this is achieved by combining pressure control and pressure measurement within a single device. Remote operation, computer automation, and data acquisition can be achieved using remote communication via IEEE-488, RS-232 or Ethernet connections.

Reasons to Choose a Pressure Indicator.

Mensor Precision Pressure Indicators, also called Digital Pressure Gauges, are appropriate for use when there is a need to measure an external pressure source very accurately. The sensor in the digital pressure gauge measures the pressure, and the indicator displays the pressure in user specified units (psi, bar, kPa, inches of mercury etc....).

Simply stated, Mensor precision pressure indicators provide an accurate way to measure pressure. The measurement is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Mensor Indicators or Digital Pressure Gauges are used as pressure standards for pressure calibration labs, test facilities or in production environments where a precise pressure indication is needed.

Reasons to Choose a Pressure Transmitter.

Mensor Precision Pressure Transmitters, sometimes called Digital Pressure Transmitters, transducers or just pressure sensors, are appropriate for use when there is a need to measure an external pressure source very accurately but there is no need for local pressure indication.

The sensor in the Digital Pressure Transmitter measures the pressure and transmits the pressure via RS-232, RS-485 or analog output to a host computer or data acquisition system. Simply stated, Mensor Precision Pressure Transmitters provide an accurate way to measure and transmit a digital or analog signal that represents a measurement of the pressure being sensed. The measurement is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Mensor Transmitters are used in OEM applications to measure pressure in devices that require accurate pressure input. They can also be used as pressure standards for pressure calibration labs, test facilities or in production environments where transmission of a pressure signal is needed.

Reasons to Choose a Deadweight Tester.

Mensor Deadweight Testers also referred to as Pressure Balances are primary pressure standards. This means that they measure pressure directly by applying a Force over an Area; this is the definition of pressure, P=F/A. The force comes from precisely machined masses that are stacked on a precision piston that has a specific cross sectional area. The piston rotates within a cylinder and floats atop a hydraulic (oil) or pneumatic (air) fluid under pressure. This generates a stable pressure that can be applied to a pressure device being tested.

Deadweight Testers are appropriate for use when there is a need to calibrate a wide range of pressure devices. Because the accuracy is a percent of reading, a skilled operator can use a deadweight tester to calibrate a wide range of pressure devices. Mensor Deadweight testers can have an accuracy as high as 0.008% of reading. The measurement is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Deadweight testers do not require a power source which makes them a good choice for remote operation.   Dead weight testers are used as pressure standards in pressure calibration labs, test facilities, and field calibration.

Reasons to Choose a Custom System.

A custom system is the right choice if there is a special requirement that standard Mensor controller, indicator or transmitter cannot meet. A custom system may include one or several standard Mensor products integrated into a cart or rack. A Custom system can also be a product that is designed specifically for your requirements. In either case our custom systems department will work to design the right product that will fulfill your specific needs.

Custom systems have been used in the automotive, aerospace, Semiconductor and medical industries, as well as on military bases, and with defense contractors.
