We're Going to Disneyland!

Mensor is excited to attend the 2016 Measurement Science Conference in Anaheim, California, at the Walt Disneyland Hotel from March 23-25. According to MSC's president, this year's conference "will focus on embracing emerging approaches and technologies to address metrology while still supporting education in current standards, and legacy approaches."

Since 1969, Mensor has been designing and manufacturing precision pressure measurement and calibration instruments, and has become a leader in the metrology industry in innovation and customer service. With the addition of ASL to our family of companies, we are also at the leading edge of technology for resistance thermometry.

For those attending the conference, we'd like to invite you to make us your after-lunch destination! Our tutorial will take place on Thursday, March 24th from 1:45-5:30 p.m. in the Tutorial Hall. Mensor Regional Sales Manager Steve Spires will be presenting "Pressure Metrology: Basics of pressure behavior, measurement, and calibration."

In this presentation, Steve will discuss what pressure is and how it is impacted by other environmental factors and physical laws. He will address the differences between accuracy and precision and the factors that impact each. We will review calibration standards and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of various calibration methods. Special emphasis will be applied to problems associated with the measurement and calibration of low gauge pressures and absolute pressure instruments.

This half-day session is part of the MSC Tutorial Workshops. Look for the Mensor booth #107 for more details. We will have pressure instruments on display, along with several Mensor Pressure Calibrators/Controllers. Mensor is part of the WIKA Group of companies concentrating on Calibration Technology.
