Portable Process Calibrator Approved for Hazardous Areas

San Marcos, Texas, July 2019

WIKA's CPH7000 portable process calibrator is now also available in an intrinsically safe version. The multi-function instrument combines the measurement of pressure, temperature, current, voltage and ambient conditions. The intrinsically safe rating is in accordance with ATEX and IECEx directive, allowing the use of the CPH7000 in hazardous areas.

This feature enables the CPH7000 to be used to calibrate and test process transmitters, pressure gauges and switches in petrochemical industries, off shore refineries, power plants, mining and other hazardous operating areas where flammable substances are likely to be present. The instrument is offered in a separate Ex version to highlight the intrinsically safe reinforcements that prevent energy sparks and high temperatures inside the CPH7000 when used in an Ex rated zone.

The Ex version of the CPH7000 allows the same intuitive and easy operation like the standard CPH7000, with the additional safety of using it for calibrations in Ex zones. The two instruments are distinguishable by the case color; the intrinsically safe version has a blue faceplate and darker body than the standard version.
